Why Your Will Smith’s Blue Genie Never Works Out the Way You Plan First Look Inside
New ‘Aladdin’ Trailer Reveals First Look at Will Smith’s Blue Genie
Live-action films seem to be here to stay. Disney Currently has three, Dumbo coming next month, Aladdin in May and the Lion King in July. These films are some of the most popular cartoon films they have amongst their collection. Fans are seriously hoping for an awesome experience that tugs at their heart with the hand of nostalgia. Fans are skeptical though.
So we finally get our first look at Will Smith as the Genie. Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine and of course Mena Massoud as Aladdin. From the looks of things, it seems as though Will Smith himself already knew what he was getting himself into. Take this from EW:
“Robin Williams infused the character with a timeless version of himself. I started to feel confident that I could deliver something that was an homage to him but was musically different. Just the flavor of the character would be different enough and unique enough that it would be in a different lane, versus trying to compete. I think it’ll stand out as unique even in the Disney world. There hasn’t been a lot of that hip-hop flavor in Disney history.”
