Wacom Sets To Inspire Anime Artists At Anime Expo 2018 & Beyond

Every Designer has dreamed of having a Wacom Tablet. Wacom is continuing to innovate and achieve its vision of bringing people and technology closer together. What was once in your mind has come to fruition from your imagination and is now tangible for all the world to see. The Company brings panel discussions, drawing contests and famous artists to this year’s Anime Expo. Below is an example of the abilities of their products.

 

 

 

You can find Wacom’s booth (#8C) and panel room (403AB) in the Los Angeles Convention Center. There will be fun and educational places to be at 2018 Anime Expo, July 5 to 8. What can you expect from their panels and booth? 

 

There will be a couple of panels on creating Manga with a Wacom tablet and the software Clip Studio Paint® by Celsys®. Panel presenters include Yayao Yuying, creator of the Hmong culture inspired series called “Jingku,” currently running on GlobalComix, as well as Natalia Batista, well-known for authoring and illustrating “A Song for Elise.” In addition, Wacom will present Dreamworks® TV Animation Directors Eugene Lee, Chris Palmer and Rie Koga in an engaging presentation on the making of “Voltron: Legendary Defender.

Thursday, July 5 – Day 1

Time: 3:30 – 4:30 PM

Title:  How to draw Manga with Wacom & Celsys’ Clip Studio Paint

Description:  Bring your characters to life! Get the latest tips and tricks using Clip Studio Paint with Wacom pen displays and tablets. Presenters include Yayao Yuying, Christina Cavadias, Jay Ryu, Cheryl Fontanilla and Zelda C.W.

 

Friday, July 6 – Day 2

Time: 1:00 – 2:00 PM

Title:  How to draw Manga with Wacom & Celsys’ Clip Studio Paint

Description:  Bring your characters to life! Get the latest tips and tricks using Clip Studio Paint with Wacom pen displays and tablets. Presenters include Natalia Batista and Tan Hui Tian.

 

Saturday, July 7 – Day 3

Time: 2:30 – 3:30 PM

Title: Dreamworks TV Animation Directors discuss Voltron: Legendary Defender

Description: Eugene Lee, Chris Palmer, Rie Koga demonstrate their art on a Wacom Cintiq Pro as they share their experiences in the animation industry and the differences between Western and Japanese style Animation.
