Taito Okiura made an announcement at the Netflix: See What’s Next Asia 2018 event in Singapore on November 8. The announcement was that Trese, the award-winning and bestselling Filipino comic book series created by writer Budjette Tan and artist Kajo Baldisimo, is going to be a Netflix Original Anime Series.

A Quick Synopsis:
Trese is set in Manila and chronicles the adventures of Alexandra Trese, a detective who goes to head with supernatural beings from Philippine folklore.
According to ABS/CBN NEWS:
Jay Oliva, who worked in US blockbusters such as “Wonder Woman” and “The Legend of Korra,” is the series’ executive producer. It is to be produced by Shanty Harmayn and Tanya Yuson at BASE Entertainment, a studio based in Jakarta and Singapore.
