Reading Time: 2 minutes The Ghostbusters is returning with a film set in the original universe. The last one we got was a big flop. It appears that this one will be directed by Jason Reitman who has done films such as Juno and thank you for not smoking. One of the coolest things this is that Jason is written and directing the film is also the son of the original Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman.

I don’t normally look at the security footage in my home unless I need to for let’s say, my renter’s insurance, but also I don’t want to see a ghost running around my home. Imagine this, you have insomnia, laying in your bed and open up a game on your mobile phone that uses Augmented Reality and you see a ghost to capture. Now imagine that ghost cannot be caught. Why? Because it’s a real ghost! Yeah!!! No thank you!
With that being said I am still excited about the announcement of the Ghost Busters Augmented Reality app on Mobile. The name of the mobile game is called Ghostbusters World and allows players to capture ghosts on their smart phone. Here is the teaser trailer:
The creators claim that with Ghostbusters World you will be able to catch all ghosts from the comics, movies, TV shows and park adaptations. The director and producer of the original Ghostbusters movie explained the capabilities fo the game:
The game Ghostbusters World is headed to android and iOS devices later this year. The game itself is being developed by NextAge, in partnership with FourThirtyThree Inc. A demo is currently available at the Google Mobile World Congress in Barcelona Spain. In a press release, Jamie Stevens, an executive from Sony Pictures Entertainment said:
“Ghostbusters is a legacy brand and we are excited to work with 4:33 to expand the Ghostbusters Universe into an AR mobile game. Ghostbusters is the perfect brand and best content to utilize AR technology.”
