Tesla Restaurant in Santa Monica California on its Way!
At the beginning of the year Elon Musk tweeted saying that he was considering opening an old school drive-in, The kind of Drive-in with roller skates and rock music. The kind of drive-in from yesteryear. Well that tweet is now on the verge of becoming a reality. At the restaurant will be a new Tesla Supercharger location. The first one will be located in Los Angeles, Ca. We also have the First Look at a Mock-up of the place.

Tesla has filed for a building permit for the city of Santa Monica. It will be right along the famous Route 66. The Tesla Restaurant would be located at 1401 Santa Monica Boulevard on the site of what currently appears to be a used-car lot for Volvo of Santa Monica.
Electrek, which first reported the permit application, notes that Tesla opened a Supercharger station in Kettleman City, Calif. last year, its largest with 40 charging stations, that features a lounge with a coffee shop, and that Tesla co-founder and CTO JB Straubel spoke at a food-service trade show about how its Supercharger locations are becoming more like convenience stores.
Below is a photo of the actual filing for the permit by Tesla:
Tesla says it now operates 1,130 Supercharger stations with 8,496 supercharger ports at locations across Asia, Europe, North America and the Middle East.
