Streets of Rage 4 Still No Official Release Date Yet, But Animation Looks Nostalgic
First a little history for those not familiar with the franchise itself. This is from their official website, “Streets of Rage, known as Bare Knuckle (ベア・ナックル Bea Nakkuru) in Japan, is a trilogy of beat ’em up games developed and published by SEGA in the 1990s.” This game has become a cult classic especially in retro gaming circles.
The trailer came to the public today and is making its rounds. In it we see the protagonist Axel Stone along with Blaze Fielding. The character Adam Hunter has not been confirmed for this game yet either. The developers behind the game have made a huge promise that there will be a great story behind this game. We do admire the visuals.
Sega probably saw Sonic Mania and realized that devs that were fans of their properties can make sequels better than they themselves ever could. Honestly, there is always a fan outdoing the original creators in movies, games, music, whatever. Fans are where the money and talent is at, if they’d ever figure this out. ( Chris Kholer )
