The forthcoming Sci-Fi series “SF8” has revealed the first glimpse at Exid’s Hani who is trapped in a Virtual Reality Horror Game.
“SF8” is a new sci-fi project set to tell eight fascinating stories in the near future. A different Directors Guild of Korea (DGK) director will be in charge of each 40-minute plot, and each of the eight dreams of the future directors will deliver a different approach to the main theme of people dreaming of a better society through technological advances. Artificial intelligence ( AI), augmented reality ( AR), virtual reality ( VR), robots, gaming, fantasy, horror, superpowers, and disasters will be the subjects discussed in the project.
In director Jang Cheol Soo’s “White Crow,” an eerie tale about a broadcasting jockey (BJ) named Juno, who is known for her delicate and innocent face, EXID’s Hani will be starring. Once Juno (played by Hani) arrives on a live VR game show, she soon finds herself stuck inside a horrific VR horror game that combines real-life traumas of players.
Hani’s newly released stills of the Sci-Fi Series “SF8” show two contrasting sides of her persona, as well as the strong contrast between the inside and outside of her world. She smiles brightly on stage (below) in one photo; in the other she stares at something in the distance with fear, her eyes visibly filled with dread. (Above)
I was extremely drawn to the near-future setting and the premise of being trapped in a virtual reality. In order to prepare for my role as a game BJ, I tried playing horror games in real life.Hani Via Naver
Because there is a lot of CGI [computer-generated imagery] in this project, I got to experience many new things. I’m grateful for having been given the opportunity to take on a new challenge each and every day.Hani Via Naver
