Rooster Teeth and DC Collab to Celebrate Batman and More
If I said Rooster Teeth and Batman, would you see a connection? To the casual viewer, probably not. Rooster Teeth is an Austin based production/ entertainment company. They are responsible for many popular internet series such as Red vs Blue, Rwby, gen: LOCK and Achievement Hunter. They are also (along a grapevine of other companies) part of the Warner Bros family. You can see where this going. On this week’s RT Podcast, Geoff Ramsey (one of the founders of Rooster Teeth and Co-Founder of Achievement Hunter) announced a collaboration with the caped Crusader. On September 21st they will be releasing DC #27.
What is DC #27?
DC #27 is a limited edition clothing line based on Detective Comics issue 27. This comic from 1937 marks the first appearance of Batman who is now one of the most popular characters in comic book history. The clothing line will be taking panels from that pinnacle comic and adding it to a collection of shirts, hoodies, and hats. The entire collection will be available for purchase on the Rooster Teeth website. As stated, the release is scheduled on Sept 21st which happens to be Batman Day and will also mark the 80th anniversary of the beloved hero.
Wait There is More!
They are not done with the Dark Knight. Sometime in November, RT is slated to release the Achieve X Batman clothing line. This is a true collaboration between the two companies that will incorporate Batman into RT’s already established casual/gamer “Achieve” line. The hopes are that the success of these two lines will possibly bring many more merchandise opportunities with other iconic figures in the DC universe roster.
