Nintendo Land is Finally Coming

Nintendo Land is currently being constructed in Japan and Hollywood with a third coming to Orlando. Nintendo is now upping its game in branding. Taking its fandom out of the house and into a world based on their favorite games. The company has enjoyed a fruitful year this year. The success of the Nintendo Switch yielded enormous profits, so expanding themselves in this way by licensing out fan favorites will just add to the profits.

In a recent Motley Fool Podcast, finance expert Dan Kline explained, “We know there will be a Mario Kart ride. About a month ago it became public that Universal Studios is building a fourth gate, another theme park, and they’ve amassed a big chunk of land to do that. It’s very logical to think that Nintendo is going to be the cornerstone, the Harry Potter of this new park.”

He goes on to say:

“Right now, at the Universal Studios location in Japan, they’re actually already under construction on what’s called Nintendo Land. It’s a handful of rides. They’ve been very secretive. We know there’ll be a Mario Kart ride. Think of it like the Star Wars expansion at Disney, a very immersive land, a big deal. In Orland, they’ve said, ‘We are going to build out Nintendo properties.’ But they’ve been very cagey about where. The rumors had always been at the original Universal Studios.”

Seems really cool. Will definitely check it out in Japan. Is there anything you would like to see at this theme park? Will the Mario Kart Speedway allow you to throw turtles? (fake turtles of course) What excites you about this news? Tell us your thoughts on the park on social media!
