Capcom is finally opening a specialist store right in the heart of Tokyo. The
Shibuya’s Parco Department Store will have it’s very own Capcom store, with exclusive goods only available to purchase there. The website reports that there will be a multitude of limited and exclusive goods, with everything from Monster Hunter and Resident Evil to Ace Attorney. The most popular games will likely have the most stuff available, but like the Jump Shops in Tokyo, even the smaller and less popular franchises will likely have some merchandise for their fans.
The website promises that because there will be Capcom Store exclusive goods available, no matter how many visits you make, there will be something new for you to find.
The Capcom store will be their “antenna” store, meaning they will have opportunities for customers to try out new games, as well as take part in events that happen in-store.
The website shows the store’s artist impression, with Ryu from Street Fighter prominently in the front, and tasty looking Monster Hunter section in the back where you can take all sorts of Instagrammable photos.
This store looks like it will be a must on a travelers to-do list, so if you’re coming to Japan at the end of November 2019, make sure to send us pictures!
It’s bound to be incredibly busy at first, so unless you love the idea of being one of the first people to set foot inside the store, waiting until after the holiday season might be your best bet.
Geek Impulse will keep you updated on any events set for opening, and we’ll head on over there if we can to get you an exclusive inside look of the store.
