LiSA’s Demon Slayer Digital Single rock tune still ranks No.1 on Billboard Japan’s “JAPAN Hot Animation” chart. The song also Ranks #1 on Oricon Weekly Digital for 2nd Consecutive Week.

According to the Monthly Report of the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) for March 2020, LiSA’s 15th single song “Gurenge,” the OP theme for the TV anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, has been certified triple platinum for more than 808,000 downloads. Prior to the release of the CD single by SACRA MUSIC on July 3, the album was released digitally on April 22, 2019 and was double  platinum (500,000 downloads) in December 2019.

LiSA’s Demon Slayer Digital Single ranked #1 on Oricon’s weekly digital single ranking chart for the April 27-May 3 week, with 22,105 downloads. This is the second consecutive week it has ranked at #1. The song has now ranked at #1 for five weeks (including two consecutive weeks in May 2019, one week in December 2019, and the past two weeks).

The song’s # 1 ranking in the week of April 20-26 was the third time (and the fourth week) the single reached # 1 since the digital release of the album in April last year. The album was also in the top 10 of last year’s digital single ranking list for 20 straight weeks. The title song of the single is the theme song of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime. The album debuted digitally in April 2019, until its CD release in July 2019. The release of the CD sold more than 100,000 copies. LiSA sang the song during her first appearance on Kōhaku Uta Gassen (“Red and White Song Contest”), Japan’s most successful music television show, on 31 December.
