‘Castlevania’ Producer in Talks to Create ‘The Legend of Zelda’ TV Series
From Castlevania to Legend of Zelda TV Series
It would seem that Nintendo is in talks with Castlevania show-runner Adi Shankar. As mentioned Adi Shankar Produces Netflix’s show Castlevania which has had success on the platform. He mentioned on his Instagram profile that he is in talks with a Japanese gaming company to adapt one of their games. If sources are correct that company is Nintendo and we will be seeing a Legend of Zelda TV Series.
This story was originally posted by the Warp. Created for Nintendo by Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka, “The Legend of Zelda” debuted on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1986. Followed by more than 17 sequels and several remastered release, the “Zelda” franchise has sold more than 80 million copies worldwide.
We are waiting for the hardcore Zelda fans to have an Internet meltdown for the ages, but we’ll get a damn good TV show out of it to boot. Will this mean we are getting a “dark and edgy” Zelda? If so, do we really need it though? Let’s talk about it.
