Who remembers Altered Carbon? The Sci-fi Netflix Series that came out in 2018. Based on the 2002 novel with the same title we follow a man named Taeshi Kovac in a world where technology has conquered death itself. It was an awesome show. Why am I bringing this up? Well, this week two major Altered Carbon announcements has brought it back to the forefront.

Altered Carbon RPG on KICKSTARTER

Awesome cover art with the amazing Erika Ishii

Hunter Entertainment has collaborated with Skydance Television (which included the team that brought you the Netflix Series) to bring you an official Altered Carbon tabletop Role Playing Game. Players can soon enjoy a Noir style game set in the futuristic world of Bay City, the location used in Season 1. In a world where your body is nothing more than a “sleeve” you currently inhabit, the game provides a unique mechanic for players should they meet an unfortunate end. Simply get a jack into a new body… but even that isn’t that simple.

The Kickstarter went live earlier this week and has already far exceeded its 20,000 dollar goal. The campaign ends on Wed March 4 so there is still time for any of you interested in getting your copy as well as all the other cool extras included in the higher tiers. This product will come with everything you need to learn and play in this refreshing cyberpunk world. More Info here

Anthony Mackie to Star in Season 2

A few days later Netflix released the trailer for Season 2. Taeshi Kovac will now step into the shell of Anthony Mackie and it is going to be epic. The best part is, we won’t have to wait long as the trailer has announced Season 2 will be available to binge on February 27. So now is a good time to refresh yourself on season 1 or catch up with the rest of us.

Don’t know about you but I’m hyped for all of this. Soon I’ll be able to binge a new season and add this book to my shelf. How about you guys? Are you excited as well? Did you back this project up? Let us know in the comments!
