With Mobile gaming and of course the Nintendo Switch and the fact most controllers are bluetooth, it was inevitable that Japan would bring the world a comfy cushion. The Japanese Gaming Cushion by Thanko wanted to lead the way. We think they succeeded. The relief from physical exertion from holding previous mentioned devices and more is genius. Or at least smart business.
The cushion is called the “Turn A Cushion.” The reason behind the name is rather obvious as it looks like a giant A. The user wears it around their waist in order to provide more support so their arms can rest well and support their body as well. There is even raised plush stoppers so that a user’s arms or elbows won’t accidentally slide off the bottom when a round of gaming. On the bottom of the Turn A Cushion is a pair of legs adding even more support depending on the angle it’s used, and pockets on either side can be used to hold accessories like charging cables, or snacks and drinks. Most users are probably going to use this for hours.
The price tag for this slice of gaming convenience is reasonable at $58. Thanko calls it, “The Cushion that turns gamers into Prisoners.” From what you can see by these photos it definitely will make things hard for the avid gamer to just stop. We foresee that it will turn the average game into a more serious one. Helping to fight fatigue is something that is coming to the gaming world. eSports are a place where fatigue is an issue and there are many things out there right now to combat this. AS far as gadget go though this simple idea is something we can fully get around at Geek Impulse. Our suggestion is though that you set your alarm to remember to use the restroom every couple of hours so you do not forget to do that since it will have you more focused on your game-play.
