How Pixar’s Smash and Grab Made Me a Better Person
Did you love Wall-E? Have you ever woken up on a Monday and dreamt of escaping the mundane day to day? Have you ever thought there could be something bigger inshore for you in life? Well in Pixar’s newest short film, robots feel the same way you do.
The film was directed by Brian Larsen along with David Lally as producer. The short is called Smash and Grab. Upon watching this you will see the artistic style of Wall-E modernized. It has a futuristic feel with a focus on the future pertaining to robotics. The two robots in this short, however, will are not as content with following the same programming as Wall-E did after humanity left earth. These robots are programmed to maintain the functioning of a train. That does not last forever as the world around them become far more enticing. The people who created these ‘machines’ are not open to allowing them to roam around free.
Synopsis: Smash and Grab, is about two antiquated robots who risk everything for freedom and for each other after years of toiling away inside the engine room of a towering locomotive.
