Facebook.s Game Developers Showcase has unveiled a lot of interesting information and games. We have the details on what you can expect to arrive on the Oculus Quest and Rift platforms. During the announcements, the rapper Timbaland created an exclusive music pack for Beat Saber. Facebook also revealed the launch dates for several of their titles to include B-Team, Lies Beneath and Phantom: Covert Ops, as well as what’s in store for Pistol Whip‘s “Full Throttle” update.
The hotly anticipated Alien adventure arcade game B-Team will be arriving on Quest starting March 26th, the same day as the addictive puzzle game The Room VR: A Dark Matter. The game will be on both Quest and Rift. Super cool Sci-fi e-sport Echo VR will also host a closed alpha on March 26th which you can register Here for. There is also the horror survival game Lies Beneath which will arrive on Quest on March 31st and Rift on April 14th. The stealth title Phantom: Covert ops is said to release on both platforms on June 25th.
One of the biggest updates came for the game Pistol Whip. There is a new scene inspired by Mad Max called “Full Throttle.” Developer Cloudhead says it’s the game’s toughest scene to date, and comes with a new Tac Ops pistol collection, more customization options and leaderboards. The update also introduces two new ways to play with the Scavenger and One-and-Done modifiers. The update came yesterday March 18th. Beat Saber continues to dominate the VR gaming charts and has gone Double-Platinum, selling over 2 million copies worldwide across all VR platforms. In addition to breaking records within the VR community, the game has also proven a successful platform for artists to connect with fans—selling over 10 million songs through downloadable content. Beat Saber also includes well-known artists Imagine Dragons, Green Day, K/DA, and more.
