Enola Holmes is now on its way to Netflix after the streaming giant took over the film from Legendary Entertainment. The star of Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown, will be playing the sister of Sherlock Holmes. Joining her will be the star of The Witcher, Henry Cavill. Both have obviously worked with Netflix in the past. Legendary’s Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, and Ali Mendes will produce along with Brown and her sister Paige Brown through their PCMA Productions. Bradbeer, Joshua Grode and Michael Dreyer from Legendary serve as executive producers. It is written by Jack Thorn (His Dark Materials). This was originally reported by Variety. Fans are excited.
The story is based on the Edgar- Nominated book series. Enola escapes to London following her mother’s disappearance and Mycroft’s plans to send her to finishing school. She settles down and opens a business using the pseudonym “Dr Leslie T. Ragostin.” Throughout the series, Enola solves several mysteries by employing disguises and recalling details using her sketches of those involved in the case. Enola develops affection toward Sherlock after he helps her, but continues to run from her older siblings because she prizes her freedom. Sherlock stops pursuing Enola after realizing the horrors of finishing school, and Enola makes peace with Mycroft after impressing him by solving a case. Enola retains her independence while maintaining her relationship with her brothers.
