WHY?

Attack on Titan - Geek Impulse

Filmmaker Andy Muschietti who directed Stephen King’s ‘IT,’ will now focus on building a series of films based on a franchise that since 2009 has won over fans all over the world. This is according to The Hollywood Reporter. with Harry Potter franchise producer David Heyman attached to the project along with Masi Oka (Heroes) and Barbara Muschietti (It). No screenwriters have reportedly been hired for the adaptation at this point.

Hajime Isayama created the manga, which debuted in 2009 and takes place in a world that has been overrun by Titans — giant, mindless human-eating creatures. Humanity is forced to live in cities built behind giant walls that keep the Titans at bay. Attack on Titan at times can be quite gruesome and deals with themes such as militarization, the horrors of war and abuse of power. It has been adapted into an anime series that launched in 2013 as well as into a two-part, live-action film in 2015.

One of the most successful manga series of all time, Attack on Titan currently consists of 26 collected volumes that have sold more than 76 million copies as of August 2018. You can find the voice of the english dub for Armin Here. Also you can find our interview with the same voice actor below.

  1. Why??? Tired of all these adaptations. Bleach was ok, But the other AoT was not good. anime and manga are not meant to be live action.

    • I can agree with that. Bleach was good. Death Note was cringe. He did good with ‘IT’ but that is not the same comparison. We will have to wait and see.
